Each neighborhood in Barcelona has a very distinct vibe and a different cultural element to it. While you can’t go wrong with which neighborhood you choose to live in, there are some neighborhoods that have more benefits as an international student. Have a look at some good neighborhoods in Barcelona.

1. EIXAMPLE

The Eixample district is the centre of Barcelona with easy access to any other Neighborhoods in Barcelona, wide variety of restaurants and bars. This place is suited for students, modern architecture, and great shopping sites.

It is extremely easy to get to any Neighborhood in Barcelona with a shorter metro or bus ride. It also has a lot of well-known shops (as well as the luxury shopping strip) that will make it feel like home.

Therefore, I highly recommend this neighborhood if you’re looking forward to seeing all the neighborhoods in Barcelona and have a need for easy transportation services.

2. GOTHIC QUARTER

The Gothic Quarter is the historic “old town” neighborhood of Barcelona and home to the Barcelona Cathedral. Not only is this neighborhood home to the Cathedral, but also home to La Boqueria, Barcelona’s best market. This place is located conveniently next to lively bars and popular night clubs’ international students enjoy. For this reason, if your goal of living in Barcelona is to experience the art, architecture, and culture and able to enjoy nightlife this is an apt place.

3. EL BORN

El Born is one of the most popular and trendiest neighborhoods in Barcelona. This place has many unique boutiques, fresh markets, and great restaurants for one of a kind tapas. This neighborhood is full of culture, and is filled with mediaeval streets and jousts. However, If you want to be able to experience the culture and best restaurants in the city while having a trendier and upbeat vibe then this may be the neighborhood for you.

4. GRÀCIA

Gràcia is the neighborhood where you will be staying with more locals than tourists. While it’s not as conveniently located in the heart of the city, Gràcia neighborhood has many other benefits. This neighborhood is great for a student who is looking to have more of a quiet and safe place, while being situated close to Gaudi sites. Hence, This neighborhood is more affordable and is a great choice for a student.

Moving to Barcelona is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming if you don’t know where to look for a safe place to stay.

However, before making the big move, do your research and ask Barcelona Student’s team who is helping students with their housing plans.
