Applying for a student visa in Spain as a tourist, is now possible!

Therefore, for a non-EU foreigner to study in Spain, he needs to apply for a study visa prior to entering Spain or during the first 60 days of arrival to Spain, at the government delegation or Sub-delegation of the Spanish province in which you are going to study. 

According to the Spanish Immigration Law, non-EU citizens can apply for a residence permit for studies from within Spain only for higher education programs (such as university degrees or postgraduate studies) and if they are in legal status as a tourist.

• Before entering Spain: through the Spanish Consulate in the country of origin at least two months before the start of your studies.

• After entering in Spain: within the first 30 days of legal tourist stay (before the 90-day visa-free period expires).
